Prof. Tervo was selected for and gave an extended talk titled “Demonstration of Thermoradiative Energy Conversion with InAs Cells” at the 50th IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (PVSC). This presentation described the fabrication and demonstration of a new type of solid-state heat to electricity converter that could enable self-powered sensors, improve solar photovoltaic conversion efficiency in space applications, and harvest low-grade waste heat from industrial processes.
