New paper on efficient, scalable thermophotovoltaic cells published in Joule

Prof. Tervo’s new paper describing record-efficiency thermophotovoltaic cells has been published in Joule!  This work, performed at the National Renewable Laboratory in collaboration with Antora Energy and Arizona State University, details single-junction and two-junction tandem GaInAs cells that feature a scalable design and high performance.  These cells are designed for use with grid-scale thermal energy storage and could help enable low-cost storage technologies to be paired with renewable electricity generation.
